Standard Coverage Gap

If your total drug costs reach $3,310 you’ll move into the coverage gap, also called the donut hole. Not everyone will enter the coverage gap. If you do, you’ll pay 45% of brand drug costs and 58% of generic drug costs.

Catastrophic Coverage

If your yearly out-of-pocket drug costs reach $4,850 you will enter the Catastrophic Coverage phase. In this phase you pay a copay of $2.95 for generics or $7.40 for brand drugs, or 5% of drug costs; whichever is greater.
